3/28/2008: South Announce Tour, The Silver State to Support
South's new album, "You Are Here," hits stores on April 22. The band has just announced a slew of US tour dates with label mates The Silver State as main support. Ki Theory will also join them on the road for some of the tour. Tour dates can be found on their myspace page.

12/27/2007: New South Album
The fourth album from South is titled, "You Are Here," and will be released worldwide on April 22, 2008. South will perform at the SXSW Music Festival in Austin, TX as well as play a few shows in New York City this March. The band will return to the States in April for a tour in support of their new record. Check out two new tracks at the bluhammock site.

9/5/2006: South Add Headlining Shows to Upcoming Tour
South have added some headlining dates to their forthcoming fall tour with The Strokes. For those outside the US, there have also been gigs added in Europe and Japan to coincide with the release of their latest album.
8/21/2006: South DVD and CD Package Coming October 10th
On Oct. 10th Young American will be releasing an exclusive South DVD and CD package. The DVD will feature 12 songs performed live in concert from their recent US tour. The DVD will also feature behind the scenes footage, music videos and much more. The audio CD will feature new session versions of classic South songs, as well as 2 brand new songs. Also included is the band's stunning cover of the New Order classic "Bizarre Love Triangle." Watch a video from the forthcoming release HERE!
7/10/2006: South - iTunes Exclusive
South recorded an exclusive session for iTunes in San Francisco last April. Available now from the iTunes Music Store are 4 brand new versions of classic South songs, including, "Paint the Silence," "Up Close and Personal," and a stunning cover of New Order's "Bizzare Love Triangle." 6/15/2006: Two New South Videos for "Up Close and Personal"
Check out the two new videos for the South song "Up Close and Personal." This one HERE is an acoustic version that features the breathtaking animation of Japanese artist Toshiko Kimura. This one HERE is the full electric version that features Casey from the band Margot & The Nuclear So & So's.

The new, limited-edition South EP will be entitled Speed Up / Slow Down and will arrive at select indie retail stores the first week of October! If you are wondering what's with that name, Speed Up / Slow Down?!... All we can tell you is wait until you hear it - then it will make perfect sense. It is like nothing you have ever heard before! 6/1/2005: South signs with Young American Recordings!!!
Young American Recordings will be releasing the UK band's new, highly-anticipated, full length studio album! The band is currently holed up in a London studio hard at work on new material. On its official web site, the band describes the as-yet-untitled new set as "probably a bit more 'up' in tempo and in mood than some of 'With the Tides." According to one lucky insider, the new material is 'simply brilliant.' Check back for sneak peaks of new songs and demos in the near future.
